FORMstudio are delighted to announce that we are now an Employee Ownership Trust

FORMstudio is now owned by its employees under an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), a structure where all (or the majority) of the shares in a company are owned by an EOT and those shares are held on trust for the employees of the business as beneficiaries.

Employee Ownership Trusts are a rapidly growing form of private company ownership because there is strong evidence to show that employee-owned companies outperform others in several ways and there are now over 1,500 employee-owned Companies in the UK. John Lewis is perhaps the best-known but others include Aardman Animations (the creators of Wallace and Gromit), Go-Ape (the outdoor activities business), Riverford Organics, Richer Sounds, and architects AHMM.

We foresee benefits, not just for our staff who will be empowered by this move, but also for our clients who will continue to receive the exceptional service of our dedicated and motivated team. By transitioning our employees into stakeholders in the company, we are committing to a sustainable and resilient business that will offer long-term stability and continuity in its leadership.

Co-founders Malcolm and Jeremy and their team have spent over 25 years building the business to its position today and see this change as the next stage in its journey. Malcolm and Jeremy are keen that those who help build the business will benefit from it and therefore see this as an exciting development in FORMstudio’s history and their legacy.
