Lodge Hotel

FORMstudio was commissioned to update and improve the street façade and reception areas of this sprawling 60-bedroom hotel, created from two, originally detached, Edwardian villas that had been conjoined and progressively extended over several decades.

A steel-framed cedar louvre screen now marks the central entrance to the hotel, visually separating the two original villas, creating a more legible and balanced architectural composition.

A careful redesign of all other elements of the frontage and reception contribute to the projection of a discrete and subtle contemporary appearance, appropriate to the hotel’s new boutique identity and its leafy residential location in a Conservation Area.
